How to Help
The Grover Beach Community Library would not exist without the efforts of our many volunteers. Volunteer opportunities include helping with the book sales, working as a librarian, covering new books for our collection, and all the other little things that keep the library running. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, contact us. The first and third Wednesdays of each month are typically set aside as work days when we get together to process and cover new books, as well as any other tasks that need to be done.
Your donations of good condition hardcover and paperback books not only provide us with books to put in our sales, they also provide the bulk of the books in our collection. Please bring donations to the library during open hours. For more information, call the library at (805) 473-4131. We currently do NOT accept the following: textbooks, magazines, Readers’ Digest condensed books, encyclopedias, VHS tapes, toys and games, or wet, moldy, or damaged books.
The Grover Beach Community Library is not part of the county library system and does not receive taxpayer funding. As such, your generous donation can go a long way towards helping us keep the lights on and the doors open. An annual membership in the Friends of the Grover Beach Community Library is a great way to support the library and stay up-to-date on all the exciting things we’re doing. Memberships are available to individuals, families, and businesses, and can be obtained by filling out the application below and returning it to the library. For more information, call Barbara Nicolls at (805) 481-9677.
