FOUNDERS’ DAY – May 3, 2023

Each year, the library celebrates its May 1 anniversary with a community appreciation open house. Members of the community gather to eat, drink, and be merry.

The highlight of this event is the presentation of the Mary Lee Clark Award. Mary Lee Clark was a generous benefactor of the library who was committed to seeing it grow and thrive. Every year, the library honors a person, business, or organization who keeps Mary Lee’s spirit of generosity alive by supporting the library in our mission.  Founders’ Day now also includes recognition of our Volunteer of the Year. Grover Beach Community Library is very grateful for all of its volunteers and the community support!

Some of our community members, council members, and volunteers!

The 2023 Recipients of the Mary Lee Clark Award were Jim and Darlene Kelly.

The 2023 Volunteer of the Year award was presented to Trina Clark.

FOUNDERS’ DAY 2022

Formerly known as Community Appreciation Day & Anniversary Open House, this year the board decided to rename the celebration  to Founders’ Day and also include the recognition of our volunteers!! Without our staff of volunteers our Grover Beach Community Library would not exist.
