It wouldn’t be summer without our popular program that brings kids and books together.
Students from 1st grade through middle school take on the challenge to read six books in six weeks. Each year, a special theme helps motivate readers as they make the commitment to pass up “screen time” in favor of books.
This year’s theme is Beach Bingo!
In addition to winning prizes for completing six books in six weeks, participants can earn additional treats by filling out the Beach Bingo game card.
Who: Readers of all ages from first grade through middle school
When: June 12 – July 24, 2021
Where: Register in person at the library or online here. Then read wherever your summer takes you! Stop by the library to update your progress on our Wall of Fame so we can celebrate what an awesome reader you are.
Why: Because reading is fun!!! OK, also because you can win some great prizes!

Readers who finish 6 grade-level appropriate books in 6 weeks will win a gift certificate to Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab! And… readers who fill out their Beach Bingo playing card by completing the reading activities will win a gift certificate to In-N-Out Burger.
All participants are invited to an awards ceremony at the library on Saturday, July 24 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm.
